Councillors in Sutton are not paid a salary. They receive a basic allowance to help them to fulfil their duties. Councillors can also claim to cover the cost of things like:
Some Councillors have extra responsibilities and receive a Special Responsibility Allowance.
The amounts that Councillors receive are published in an annual report at the end of each financial year.

Allowances for Councillors are set and reviewed by recommendation from an Independent Remuneration Panel established by the London Councils.
